Sensei Licata

Nicholas Licata received his second degree black belt in Nihon Goshin Aikido from Sensei Robert B. MacEwen and has trained in Nihon Goshin Aikido since 1996. Sensei Licata continues to train under Mr. MacEwen and Shihan Bowe.

Prior to beginning Nihon Goshin Aikido training, Mr. Licata trained in Aikido, Judo, and Wrestling. He continues to cross train in many arts including Kenjutsu, Kendo, Bojutsu, and Tae Kwon Do.

Some martial arts instructors believe the way to build character is by breaking someone's spirit. Mr. Licata believes that the way to build character is by boosting one's spirit. Therefore, he strives to make his Aikido classes light hearted and fun for all.

Sensei Morgano

Scott J. Morgano is an advanced second degree black belt with nearly two decades of Nihon Goshin Aikido practice under his belt. He continues to train under Sensei Robert B. MacEwen Jr.

Sensei Morgano currently teaches at The Martial Way - NGA as well as The Aikido School of Self Defense in Middletown. He is a School Social Worker at Orange-Ulster BOCES and currently resides in Walden NY with his wife. In his spare time he likes to paint and study Japanese Swords.
